If you were a fan of our healthy hearing recipe series last month, you’re in luck! We still have a few more healthy hearing foods to get through, so we’re bringing you more recipes throughout the month of February. We’ve already covered Salmon, Broccoli, Bananas, and even some Football Food. Next up: Oranges.
Everyone hears time and time again throughout cold and flu season to load up on vitamin C, usually in the form of orange juice or supplements. Vitamin C strengthens your overall immune system, which will protect you from the cold and flu and also from ear infections, which in some circumstances can cause hearing loss. You might want to think twice before you chug that half gallon of orange juice though; most store bought brands (yes, even “100% juice not from concentrate”) are heavily processed and chemically altered. Whip up this easy orange smoothie at home instead. One navel orange has 100% of your recommended daily vitamin C intake, and this smoothie uses two!
