Q: What is your role at Audicus, and how did your career path lead you here?
A:I graduated with a degree in Information Science and originally wanted to pursue something in the social media and digital world. I’ve always enjoyed talking to people, which led me to land a job at an aesthetic med spa selling botox and lip fillers for a year and a half. However, I eventually lost my passion for what I was selling.
I then connected with Tara, and she shared the Account Executive role with Audicus. After the interview process, I owe a big thanks to Monica as she’s the reason I’m now part of the team at Audicus. I started as an Account Executive and was eventually promoted to Senior AE, now working on the Olec team.
My focus was initially on new business, but as a Senior AE, I now help shape the Olec team’s approach, focusing on existing customers and their needs. I’m proud to have celebrated 3 years with Audicus!
Q: How do you start your day?
A:I always start my morning with a Pilates class at least twice a week, followed by an iced coffee outside. I'm an early riser, so I use that time to tackle phones, check my emails, and follow up on any missed calls from customers. After that, I focus on responding to inquiries and sourcing candidates to connect with for the day, all while making sure our current customers are well taken care of.
Q: What advice would you give to someone interested in a career in Sales?
A:My advice to someone interested in a career in sales would be to focus on networking and building connections within the sales world - it’s incredibly important. It’s also okay to have a bad day. If someone is rude on the phone or the day isn't going as planned, just keep your head up high and push through. Always remember to have a smile while on the phone - you’re making a friend with every conversation.
Q: What do you find most rewarding about working in at Audicus?
A:The most rewarding part of my job is helping people, especially helping them hear again. Whether it's reconnecting with a spouse, kids, or grandkids, their quality of life immediately improves. I'm not just selling a product - I'm providing a solution to their problem.
Q: What’s your favorite memory at Audicus so far?
A: When I won the Halloween costume contest. I was Amanda Baynes from She’s the Man!
Q: How would you describe the culture at Audicus?
A:The culture is the main reason I’m at Audicus. I love selling hearing aids, but the culture here is phenomenal. I get to work with so many great friends, and it never feels like I’m messaging a coworker - I’m messaging a friend. Everyone is so welcoming and genuine.
Q: What are some of your favorite books, movies, or shows?
A:Interstellar is my favorite movie. After every time I watch it, I need to look up quantum physics and learn if we can actually switch universes. My favorite book to date is The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides.
Q: What are your hobbies or passions outside of work?
A:Outside of work, I’m passionate about movement and staying active- I love working out, especially hitting a HIIT class or taking a form of Pilates. My fiancé and I are also foodies. We enjoy trying new restaurants and exploring different types of food. I’m also very close with my family and often visit my dad’s house to watch football, catch up, and just spend quality time together.
Q:Can you share a fun fact about yourself?
A: I have a twin brother, which a lot of people don’t know. He’s a financial advisor in Denver.
